If so, then we encourage you to get involved in the Digital Humanities and Literary Cognition Lab! Please reach out to one of our fantastic graduate lab leads, Soohyun Cho or Sinclair Portis, for any questions or inquiries, or to set up a meeting time.

The benefits of undergraduate research

There are numerous benefits for undergraduates who engage in research. Research experience allows for students to better understand:

  • scientific processes,
  • interdisciplinary scholarship,
  • collaborative and individual ownership,
  • how to determine and area of interest or focus,
  • and much more!

All undergraduate students have the opportunity to present their research at a variety of research conferences including Michigan State University’s Undergraduate Research and Arts Forum (UURAF), National Conferences on Undergraduate Research (NCUR), Posters on the Hill, and many others.
