The benefits of undergraduate research
There are numerous benefits for undergraduates who engage in research. Research experience allows for students to better understand:
- scientific processes,
- interdisciplinary scholarship,
- collaborative and individual ownership,
- how to determine and area of interest or focus,
- and much more!
All undergraduate students have the opportunity to present their research at a variety of research conferences including Michigan State University’s Undergraduate Research and Arts Forum (UURAF), National Conferences on Undergraduate Research (NCUR), Posters on the Hill, and many others.
